Hi there, I’m Katie! I own and operate Tommila Endurance Coaching. I am a Boston based RRCA Certified Running and triathlon coach and have created personalized racing plans for athletes of all abilities since 2019. After competing in endurance events of all types since 2009, I’m passionate about using my education, knowledge, and experience to support athletes achieving their goals. I have lived all over the country - from Boston to rural New Mexico. I have experience training and racing in all climates and conditions, while managing anything from demanding work weeks to pregnancy to being a mom of two active toddlers. I use all of these experiences to guide your training and racing. From your first 5K or sprint triathlon, to Boston Qualifying, to going for the full Ironman distance, I have experience at all levels and can offer personalized coaching to fit your needs and help you reach your goals.

At the end of the day, we train and race because it makes us the best versions of ourselves. That doesn’t mean it’s always easy to squeeze in on a weekly basis, but I feel racing and training should not be adding to chronic stress or burn out. I believe in rest days, down seasons, and a balance in your fitness. As a runner and athlete, I’m in this for the long haul and I want your training and racing to be sustainable and a lifelong sport, and not lead to short term burnout and injury. My coaching method incorporates meaningful training cycles with purposeful workouts, sustainable racing seasons, and always considers your overall lifestyle and day to day demands. My main goal as a coach is to keep you injury free and optimize your training to your lifestyle in a stress free and manageable way. Let’s work together to find the joy in training and racing!
